One of two rivers that dramatically combines to form the majestic Charleston harbor, the Ashley is a pristine example of a Lowcountry river. This slow moving, tidal black water river moves through abandoned rice fields and passes many historical sites, including Drayton Hall Plantation.
Cooper River
Eventually forming the other half of the Charleston harbor, the Cooper River beckons with its own unique variety of views and historical attractions. Stono River
